Bookbinding Workshop: Long Stitch Binding with Supported Laced Cover with Chris Saclolo

In this workshop, participants will create a blank book model learning a variation of the long stitch binding with supportive laces for cover attachment. This binding method requires no glue, just sewing.

 

Please bring the following tools to participate in the workshop:

  • Ruler

  • Pencil

  • Scissors

  • X Acto knife

  • Mat board for cutting

  • Needle

  • Awl

  • Bonefolder

 Optional material to bring:

  • Medium/Heavyweight color/decorative paper (for cover) measuring 5.5” x 17”
